What is your favorite "ship" of HP characters? This can be fanfiction ship or canon ones. I personally don't like the canon books ships at all. Most of them, at least. That's where fanfiction comes in!

I really like Remus/Sirius ( Thank you, Twiny!) and Fred/Hermione. I personally cannot stand Ron Weasley, and since I learned J.K. was orginally planning on putting Fred and Hermione together, they have become one of my favorites.

I don't like Ron either (he's OK as Harry's friend, but especially not for Hermione). I hadn't thought much thought for Fred/Hermione, however. I'd like that better than Ron.
Where did you hear that Rowling planned that originally?

Remus/Sirius is my OTP of all OTPS lol. Other than that, I don't really ship anyone? I actually am okay with most canon ships, but I don't like really ship them. I mean I don't read fanfiction for anything except Wolfstar so. Fred/Hermione sounds interesting though! I didn't know they were originally supposed to be together either.

I personally like Draco/Hermione. Or Hermione/anyone-who-isn't-Ron.

I heard that on Tumblr. One of those "HP Facts" blogs.
Draco/Hermione is good. I also like some Remus/Hermione but it has to be written a certain way. I found one the other day that is really really good. It had me laughing out loud. I don't usually do that with fanfiction.

I've never read Draco/Hermione, but I feel like a lot of people ship it? Idk, I feel like I would probably ship anything if the writing was convincing enough, though tbh lol.

I like Remus/Tonks, and I'm not found of the character Sirius (at all). Aside from that, as far as slash ships goes, I see why people pair Remus/Sirius.
I've read some Hermione/Draco. They CAN work sometimes, but usually I end thinking Hermione deserves better. It's hard to find a story where Draco gets rid of his inherent brattiness. In fact, that usually seems to be the motivating factor of getting them together. Him picking on her but secretly liking her type of thing.
I mostly ship Hermione with Severus. That just seems to work for me.
But my ultimate ship is Harry/Luna. As in I refuse to ship either one of them with anyone else. Like nope. Sadly, I've failed to find even ONE really good fanfiction with the two of them.

I really like Remus and Tonks together. It's such a nice pairing and I love stories where someone falls in love with a person whose much older to them. I read this book once where a woman's son was charged with murder and it wasn't a romance novel or anything but the son's 28yr old lawyer and his mother sorta fell for each other. It was just so adorable!
I don't mind Draco/Hermione except I don't think they really make an awesome couple. Besides, I don't like the way Dramiones are generally written. Like Jewel said, it's always about them fighting but secretly liking each other. They both have certain characteristics that would make their relationship not work out. A short-term relationship might work but I don't see them together forever.
I think Hermione's awesome but I don't like her as much as say Annabeth from Percy Jackson. There's just that bossy little know-it-all streak in her that puts me off sometimes. I've never read Hermione/Severus but I suppose if it's written well enough I might like it. *shrugs*
OMG Harry/Luna is the cutest pairing ever! Luna is so much better than Ginny, who I really think Harry should not have ended up with. I think the problem with fanfiction involving Luna is that it's terribly hard to write from her POV or even write dialogues for her cause it's difficult to understand what goes on in her mind and formulate the things she might say.
I don't see why people don't like Ron. Personally he's like a breath of fresh air and really good comic relief. He's not incredibly smart but he's funny and a whole lot more vibrant than either Harry or Hermione, who can be pretty darn depressing. Sure he acts as an ass sometimes, but I think I connect with him because he's always sort of overshadowed by his friends and feels he's not good enough.
My ultimate ship is Draco/Pansy. But I don't perceive Pansy the way she's portrayed in the books. I don't understand why I take such an interest in her considering she's barely there, but there's something about having a female character the same age as the trio on the other side; someone with a different upbringing and attitude. And the most fascinating thing about Draco's and Pansy's relationship is that even they grow up together, dated and were supposed to get married and live together (that's how I see it), they didn't. Draco and Hermione aren't a likely couple but in fics they do somehow end up together. So what about two people who were expected to be together but weren't eventually? It's just so much fun to sit and think about how they may love each other but they just can't be together because of the kind of people they are and how it would never work out between them because their relationship wasn't ever based on emotions alone. It was governed by so many other factors and love wouldn't be enough to keep them together. *shrugs*

I'm not overly fond of Hermione per se. I mean, if I met her in person, we would sooooooo not get along. I just don't like know-it-alls who try to boss me (I'm not a follower). Plus, she would pass me off is too "odd," and thus she wouldn't take anything I said seriously. Kinda like her and Luna don't overly get along.
But Hermione's all right as a character in a book. lol. Annabeth is nicer though.
Harry / Ginny - SO agree. I feel like Harry was pared with Ginny because Rowling wanted him to have a "happily after" where the Weasley's became official family and even Hermione become his sister. But I don't think that reason makes for a good relationship, so instead their relationship seemed sort of forced together. Like out of no where in book 6.
Harry and Luna have a natural connection. But most fanfiction writers have trouble writing Luna. They either make her too loopy or not dreamy enough. I'm not sure if I'd be good at writing Luna or not, but I feel like she is easy to understand. Like of all the characters, I relate to her the most.
Ron? I don't dislike him as Harry's friend or as a character, because he is funny. But NOT as Hermione's boyfriend/husband. That just DOES NOT work for me. She needs someone smart - that's the biggest factor. Ron is all about quiddich and food, and copying her homework. It annoys the heck out of me. She needs someone who can mentally challenge her. That's the main reason I pair her with Severus. Because he is smart, and she's bold enough to stand up to his sharp tongue.
Draco / Pansy. I'm cool with that. We don't really know anything about Pansy. The little that IS said about her is screwed from Harry's POV, so that barely counts.

I'm not going to reply to everything (since I really don't have the time at the moment), but I saw where you said you mostly ship Hermione/Severus. If I'm being completely honest here, that is the main pairing of 89% of the romance fanfics that I've read.

Yeah I wouldn't get along splendidly with Hermione either. She'll try to boss me around and I'll just end up saying something nasty.
Harry and Ginny just don't fit right as a couple. It did seem like their relationship came outta nowhere and it didn't really go anywhere from that either. It was just a really boring relationship. Now Harry and Luna are awesome! It's hard to understand Luna because she's always so dreamy but at the same time there's a surprising clarity of thought. She's just so intriguing as a character! You should try and write as Luna, Jewel. If you relate to her, you'd do a much better job of portraying her than most others authors. =)
I know a lot of people think that way and I'm not really convinced with relationships that involve opposites attracting and all that, but for some reason, I don't think it's unbelievable that they ended up together or that their relationship worked out. I like a lot of different characters but if I had to say who I can connect to the most, it would be Ron. He's always been overshadowed; the kind of person no one seems to notice. If Harry hadn't sat in that train compartment with him, things would be so different! And weirdly, he found awesome friends in Harry and Hermione but he was still considered ordinary because they were so bloody brilliant. So I just felt happy that he got to be with Hermione and that things ended happily for him. Guess it gives me hope. *shrugs*

I don't really like Harry and Ginny as a couple. It was just like one day they were in love with each other. Well, for Harry at least. Ginny was obsessed with him. I feel like she never really like Harry for being just Harry, she liked his fame.

I said almost the exact same thing to my roommate freshman year and she like FREAKED OUT and omg. It was kind of funny, though, looking back lol. But yeah that's how I feel about them too. I also felt like it was a little awkward like JKR was trying to make it like James and Lilly? At least appearance-wise.
The character I relate most to was Tonks lol and she's like barely in it ;____;. But I like your Ron feels, euca. That makes sense and it actually makes me like him a little more lol. Not that I didn't like Ron before, but he was just kind of just there for me.

I don't like Ron because he isn't there for Harry. He doesn't believe him when Harry's name gets put in the Goblet and in DH he abandons him because he thought Horcrux hunting was supposed to take a couple of days. He had some good moments, but for the most part, he was a terrible friend
