Hi everyone!
This week your prompt is: Ballad
Remember to write exactly 100 words - no more, no less, keep your drabbles PG-13, spell-check before you post, and ensure that your drabbles take place in the HP Universe, though they may be as AU as you want.
Good luck!

T'was a dark and stormy night, Voldemort waves his wand, a strike! A little boy, scar on his head Come the man, lifts him from bed A man and woman, fat and cruel Their son pungeant, covered in drool This all happened, years ago He's now eleven, very alone. A quiet hoot, swirling feathers The boy in the Cupboard has new letters Packing the bags, they travel far, The owls find them wherever they are! They have gotten quite far, traved night and day One lonely night, Harry sings "Happy Birthday" Answering his wish, a bang on the door A magical world, with adventure and more!

This is definitely my most crappy work yet... T_T But I wanted to enter SOMETHING.... So here it is...
Hermione didn’t understand ballads. What was the point to turning a person’s life story into a song when history books did the job just fine. Naturally, books told the story in more detail and got the information perfect. Ballads on the other hand could be written up by anyone, and the facts could be skewed one way or the other. Books could be trusted, and ballads could not. In books there were references and statistics and other things that proved the truth! She just couldn’t understand why ballads even existed when they weren’t needed. There wasn’t any sense to it.
