Ladies and gentlemen,
I promise to not be late next week.
ANYWAY, as announced last week, please do not forget to suggest lots of prompts, because from now on, any prompts used that were suggested between now and September 1st will be worth 15 POINTS instead of the usual 5! Pretty schweet deal, eh? (Also, if you don't suggest more prompts for me to give you, you may just be stuck with my lame-o prompts forever and ever)
And now....
This week your prompt is: Chicken
Remember to write exactly 100 words - no more, no less, keep your drabbles PG-13, spell-check before you post, and ensure that your drabbles take place in the HP Universe, though they may be as AU as you want.
Good luck!

The young child looked at his success in wonder. It was the first meal he ever cooked by himself. He picked up the platter it was on and carefully walked to the table where he set it down. This was an easy meal to prepare, much easier than the cottage pie he watched his aunt cook the night before. He looked longingly at the roast chicken, knowing he would only receive a small morsel. Maybe if he just took a sliver. ‘No, Uncle Vernon would be mad if I did that.’ He hoped his family would like his first meal.

Chicken. Coward. Scaredy-cat. Severus Snape had been called many things in his life, but these weren't common among the myriad of names that had been directed towards him. No one dared to call the bat of the dungeons a chicken. He swore to himself long ago that he wasn't going to be afraid of anything ever again. He had nothing to be afraid of. The only thing he had to lose was his life, and he felt that his life was worthless now. Whoever ended it would be doing the world a favor. No. He wasn't a chicken. Just broken.
