Hi everybody!
This week your prompt is: Routine
Remember to write exactly 100 words - no more, no less, keep your drabbles PG-13, spell-check before you post, and ensure that your drabbles take place in the HP Universe, though they may be as AU as you want.
Good luck! Last week there were only two entries. Maybe this week we can stir a few more into the competition. :)

Every day was the same now. He was just going through the motions. Wake up, survive, and go back to bed. It was a simple but dangerous routine. The days blurred sometimes now. The faces he saw were more like ghosts. Ghosts that haunted his every waking moment. The pained expressions of people he once knew were burned into his memories like a brand. They watched him, making him feel like he had a responsibility where he did not. Things had to be this way now. Severus Snape was just going through the motions, like he had always done before.

Hermione had developed a routine over the years that she was determined not to break: Get up and go to work. She never thought about that last year at Hogwarts. She never thought about who she left behind. The War was approaching, and she knew she would soon be on the run. So, she packed her bags. She decided to focus on Ron; the person she should be with. As she grabbed her same old cup of coffee with the same amount of sugar and cream, she wondered if Ron ever noticed their daughter’s eyes were grey instead of blue.

They had been captured and thrown into the dungeons of Malfoy Manor. It was dark and dank, with no possible way to tell the time of day. Every few hours someone would come in and drag her out. For hours all they would hear was her screaming. She was on the verge of insanity and there was nothing they could do. It was sad but it was their routine. Watch her be taken away, listen to her scream, watch her get tossed back in. They couldn’t see what she looked like but they could smell her blood and burnt flesh.

Deadened eyes.
That was what he saw every time he came here. He would stare into their vacant faces, wondering if they could even understand what he was saying. Shyly accepting their old, used candy wrappers, he would chatter on about his day, his grandmother standing nearby shaking her head. It was the same routine, over and over again, uselessly talking to his parents, hoping against hope that they would perk up and respond.
But they never did. The cycle was never broken, his grandmother never stopped shaking her head, and he never gave up. Neville was better than that.
