1. What are your three strongest traits and what are your three weakest traits? - Sense of humour, ambition, and optimism. - Procrastination, desire to be the best, selfishness.
2. What do you like to do during your free time? Do you have any hobbies? - Working with art and animals, planning my future, going on dates, reading, and shopping. I also enjoy playing video games and studying linguistics and syntax, anything to keep my mind occupied.
3. In general, do you prefer working with people or alone? - I generally prefer to work alone since I am very picky and concerned about many details in the final product that don't meet my standards and wouldn't be satisfied with unless I adjusted everything myself, however I do enjoy getting inspiration from other ideas and the social aspect appeals to me.
4. What do you usually do when a friend has a problem? Do you tend to be involved or give them some space? - I'll help my friend out if I have time or if I decide that it's interesting/worth my time. If it is, I'll gladly help with whatever problem they may have, although I don't want to get too tangled in problems that might be related to relationships or family or other personal problems. If I don't want to help them, I'll lead them to someone else or otherwise give them a solution that doesn't involve me (i.e. use Google). Normally when I decide a friend's problem isn't worth my time, I generally either don't like them, or know that they need to solve the problem on their own.
5. Are you competitive or do you live more by your own goals or standards? - I like to live by my own goals and standards, however at the same time I become extremely competitive if someone else has similar standards, and I'll feel the urge to come on top as the better or superior (i.e. if I'm in a specific class I enjoy that I have top marks in, and someone transfers and is also quite talented in that class).
6. In life, which matters most to you? A) The Past- you hold grudges/you believe in learning from mistakes/you act the way you do because of what has happened to you before B) The Present- live for the moment/make decisions quickly/don’t hesitate C) The Future - plan ahead/make and meet goals/overcome obstacles
- C) The Future - plan ahead/make and meet goals/overcome obstacles. I let by-gones be by-gones in the past, especially if they're errors or problems that were caused or couldn't be solved by me. I am also very positive about the future, although I tend to take it for granted.
7. Which of these statements sounds most like you? (choose 1 or 2 answers. Explain if needed) A) You want to control what happens in your life, choosing your own destiny. B) You are short-tempered and wild; you love and hate with equal passion. C) You're strong and reliable, preferring to be fair, rational, and steady. D) You strive for perfection, paying close attention to the world around you. E) You find a way, through compromise, to make people happy F) You want to be honest and do what is right G) You would rather be yourself even it means being a loner, than change yourself to be part of a group. H) You want a name for yourself, being recognized and admired.
- B) You are short-tempered and wild; you love and hate with equal passion. I disagree on the "wild" part, but I have strong emotions and I have passionate reactions to things, whether in laughter or in anger. - H) You want a name for yourself, being recognized and admired. I really want to become known, but I also want to become admired; I don't want the luxuries of fame per se, like limos and paparazzi, but I do want people to think I'm the best/among the best. I don't mind the idea of dealing under the table or pulling strings if it means I get what I really want.
8. You are given a test at school that has questions that teacher hasn't covered yet. In the middle of the test you notice that your friend next to you has a cheat-sheet. The teacher doesn't notice. What do you do? A) Ask to share the cheat-sheet. B) Good for them, they beat the system. C) Confront them after the test to get them to stop. D) Force them to tell the teacher they cheated. E) Tell the teacher yourself.
- A) Ask to share the cheat-sheet. Or at least try to see as much as I can. If this test isn't going to be fair, then neither am I.
9. How would you like to be known to history? The Valiant
The Enlightened The Magnificent
The Wise
The Just The Honorable
The Kindhearted
The Steadfast
- The Magnificent! Who wouldn't want to be known by history for not being wise or just, but plain amazing! Although if I had to pick something else, I would pick The Honorable. Everyone loves and supports a person who's true and blue even if they might not actually be so.
10. Would you rather be... Envied? Imitated? Trusted? Praised? Liked? Feared?
- This is a difficult one. I love the ideas of being liked so much that I'm envied and imitated, although someone might succeed in taking attention away from me by imitating me. I also like the ideas of being praised and liked. I have to go with Praised, since it's the most immediate form of having my ego stroked. : D
11. Would you rather learn... A) A fact, story, or secret that you find fascinating, but has little to no purpose outside the intrigue of your own mind. B) To do something recreationally that you've always wanted to (such as learning how to hand glide or learn how to shoot rockets or learning how to play a type of game with your friends). C) The exact skills or words that will get you ahead at your work or career. D) Something general that might help you in many ways in life.
- C) The exact skills or words that will get you ahead at your work or career. The more skilled I am, the farther I'll go.
12. Take Your Pick. Would you rather... A) Walk on a two-foot-wide beam across a gap with a 50 foot drop (no handrails, but the board is steady). B) Swim across a raging river in a storm (you may be swept under for a bit, but if you don't panic, you can get through). C) Walk across 10 feet of hot coals (have faith and it won’t burn). D) Crawl through an underground maze (it’s earthy and dark but it comes out eventually).
- C) Walk across 10 feet of hot coals since believing that my feet won't burn is the least of the evils listed here. I'm terrified of heights, I panic even in steady water, and I'd be frightened of bugs and spiders in a dark and dirty underground maze. Plus I wouldn't like how filthy it is.
13. Would you rather... A) Do something / make something for your own benefit or pleasure? B) Do something / make something for someone else's benefit or pleasure?
- A) Do something for my own benefit or pleasure.
14. Which do you usually trust more? A) Your hunches? B) Your experiences?
- A) My hunches.
15. Are you more ruled by... A) Your head? B) Your heart?
- B) My heart. All my goals and aspirations are set by what I feel and what my heart tells me.
16. Are you strongly against being a particular house? If so, which house and why? - The only particular house I'm against is Hufflepuff, for the only reason being that I think yellow and black together are horrible unless you're a bee. I'm otherwise usually sorted into that house when I take Sorting Hat quizzes.
17. How did you find this site? (If someone specific told you, please say who it was. We would like their username, if possible) - I found this site on my own by Googling "Harry Potter sites".

1. What are your three strongest traits and what are your three weakest traits?
I would say my three strongest traits are creativity, resourcefulness, and wittiness. I think my weakest are assertiveness, dedication (I'm a horrible procrastination, and I rarely finish projects I start), and humility.
2. What do you like to do during your free time? Do you have any hobbies?
I love reading and writing, and I'm an avid soccer fan. Many times, though, I waste countless hours on the internet or hanging out with friends.
3. In general, do you prefer working with people or alone?
I like working with people because there's collective responsibility, but generally I do better working alone if I'm not in a leadership role. I also have a tendency to worry about people not doing their work, so I take on a considerable amount of responsibility in group projects. I really like working with friends though.
4. What do you usually do when a friend has a problem? Do you tend to be involved or give them some space?
I first want to know what the problem is, and often times my friends come to me to talk it out. I like to reassure them and offer advice. I rarely get more involved than that, such as a confrontation with another person, but I do give as much support as they want.
5. Are you competitive or do you live more by your own goals or standards?
Here's the thing. I act like I'm not competitive, but in reality I only enter a competition if I think I have a considerable chance of winning. In many cases, I take competitions as a direct challenge to my intelligence/skill, and have to force myself not to get too involved. It isn't above me to cheat, either. I also have my own standards and goals. In real life situations I find it's better to prove people wrong than to compete with them, and the best way to do that is by accomplishing your own goals.
6. In life, which matters most to you? (choose one)
a. The past- you hold grudges/you believe in learning from mistakes/you act the way you do because of what has happened to you before b. The present- live for the moment/make decisions quickly/don’t hesitate c. The future- plan ahead/make and meet goals/overcome obstacles
The future. My mom used to have to remind me to live in the present. I've often been notorious for wanting to plan out my life: I'll go to this college, major in this field, get a job in this field, live in this area, etc. That isn't to say I can't be spontaneous or make snap decisions. In fact, I'm better at making decisions under pressure because I don't have time to change my mind fifty times. But I am constantly looking to what is to be, and how to prepare for it.
7. Which of these statements sounds most like you? (choose 1 or 2 answers. Explain if needed)
a. You want to control what happens in your life, choosing your own destiny. b. You are short-tempered and wild; you love and hate with equal passion. c. You’re strong and reliable, preferring to be fair, rational, and steady. d. You strive for perfection, paying close attention to the world around you e. You find a way, through compromise, to make people happy f. You want to be honest and do what is right g. You would rather be yourself even it means being a loner, than change yourself to be part of a group. h. You want a name for yourself, being recognized and admired.
I would say a and e. As stated in the question previous to this, I can be a bit obsessive about control in my life, no matter how impossible it is to predict and control the future. Still, I like to pretend I can. And e because I constantly see the usefulness of compromise, whether it is making others happy, or myself. I was constantly the friend in the middle of a feud to bring them to a compromise. Likewise, my parents said that I was going to be a lawyer or a diplomat because I never take no as an answer, it's a - I need to make a better argument.
8. You are given a test at school that has questions that teacher hasn't covered yet. In the middle of the test you notice that your friend next to you has a cheat-sheet. The teacher doesn't notice. What do you do?
a. Ask to share the cheat-sheet b. Good for them, they beat the system. c. Confront them after the test to get them to stop d. Force them to tell the teacher they cheated e. Tell the teacher yourself
B. I wouldn't rat that friend out, but I would talk to them after class but not necessarily with the intention of getting them to stop. They are my friend, after all. Heck, I might even sneak a peak. I would feel, in that situation, that the test was unfair. I might have already asked the teacher why we were being tested on uncovered material.
9. How would you like to be known to history? The Valiant
The Enlightened The Magnificent
The Wise
The Just The Honorable
The Kindhearted
The Steadfast
The Just. This reminds me a lot of the Chronicles of Narnia, and I always admired Edmund for his ability to take a step back. He was a good mix of Susan's rationality, Peter's bravery, and Lucy's faith and goodness. I think it also implies a strong moral compass and conviction.
10. Would you rather be? Envied Imitated Trusted Praised Liked Feared
I would rather be trusted. I like being the person that people come to when they want advice, and I feel that is a position of trust. I love my friends dearly, and enjoy having very close-knit relationships with them. I think being liked is a very shallow sentiment, but trust implies something deeper.
11. Would you rather learn:
a. A fact, story, or secret that you find fascinating, but has little to no purpose outside the intrigue of your own mind. b. To do something recreationally that you've always wanted to (such as learning how to hand glide or learn how to shoot rockets or learning how to play a type of game with your friends) c. The exact skills or words that will get you ahead at your work or career. d. Something general that might help you in many ways in life.
D. I think it'd be great to learn something that could come in handy, and not having it be so specific it only applies to one aspect of your life. Though, if it really was that useful I'd probably take the initiative and learn that too.
12. Take Your Pick. Would you rather:
a. Walk on a two-foot-wide beam across a gap with a 50 foot drop (no handrails, but the board is steady) b. Swim across a raging river in a storm (you may be swept under for a bit, but if you don't panic, you can get through) c. Walk across 10 feet of hot coals (have faith and it won’t burn) d. Crawl through an underground maze (it’s earthy and dark but it comes out eventually)
C. First, because they proved on Mythbusters that it wouldn't hurt if done slowly. But also because it's the only one mentioned that is entirely done on faith. The first two especially have a real element of danger, and the fourth bothers me because one my fears is being buried alive.
13. Would you rather: a. Do something / make something for your own benefit or pleasure b. Do something / make something for someone else's benefit or pleasure
I would like to say B, and I do love getting gifts for my friends, but I'd ultimately have to go with A.
14. Which do you usually trust more? a Your hunches b Your experiences
Is it possible to say both? If I had to choose one, I'd be swayed toward hunches. But often, those hunches do stem from experiences. I think it's hard to separate those two, because hunches don't come out of no where.
15. Are you more ruled by a Your head b Your heart
I think in many areas of my life I'm ruled by my head. I'm pretty rational, I love logic, and I'm not usually swayed easily from my stances. But in issues of morality and moral judgments I and ruled by my heart. I have a strong sense of right and wrong, which is governed by both logic and heart, so they muddy together at times. I still believe I lean toward the head though.
16. Are you strongly against being a particular house. If so, which house and why?
I've never felt like I didn't belong in a house entirely, and that is in fact why I very often struggle to sort myself. I feel though that I'm least suited for Hufflepuff, no matter how much I love them. I feel like I feel like it's a group oriented house, and I'm not exactly the epitome of hard work. Also, I'm a bit too arrogant.
17. How did you find this site? (If someone specific told you, please say who it was. We would like their username, if possible)
I found it mentioned on the HP wiki under fansites.
Thank you very much for your time!

I prefer working alone. 4. What do you usually do when a friend has a problem? Do you tend to be involved or give them some space? A little bit of both actually, if they want to be alone, I respect that, even though I try to help them.5. Are you competitive or do you live more by your own goals or standards? I'm not competitive at all.6. In life, which 7. Which of these statements sounds most like you? (choose 1 or 2 answers. Explain if needed) g. My three strongest traits are that I can work really hard, I'm quite smart and I'm noble My weakest traits are: I'm introverted, cynical and reckless
I like to dance or write during my free time.
I prefer working alone
I'd give the friend space to sort things out themselves
I'm extremely competitive but healthily
I live in the present.
. You want to control what happens in your life, choosing your own destiny.
. You strive for perfection, paying close attention to the world around you
Confront them after the test to get them to stop
The Honorable
Trusted
. A fact, story, or secret that you find fascinating, but has little to no purpose outside the intrigue of your own mind.
. Swim across a raging river in a storm (you may be swept under for a bit, but if you don't panic, you can get through)
Neither
For my own benefit/pleasure
Hunches
I'm ruled by my heart
I'm strongly against being in Slytherin but not for conventional reasons. A Slytherin needs a survival instinct, a cunningness, that I don't have. I'm meek and timid and won't be suited to the ideals of Slytherins with similar minds.
Someone told me. I don't know their username
