Here is where you will sign up to play, and once we have enough players, the game will commence in a new thread called Wink Murder: The Game.
Here's how it goes:
1) There is a detective, and there is a murderer, whom I will choose. I will tell you who the detective is, but the murderer will remain a mystery.
2) I PM the murderer, who then looks at the list of players, in this thread, and PMs their victim with a wink face, which means that the person recieving that wink has been murdered.
3) The victim goes to the game thread and tells us how they were murdered. While describing that, the victim must leave little clues as to whom the murderer is.
4) The detective has three guesses as to who the murderer is. This must go one guess at a time, and the victim must confirm or deny his guesses.
5) Everyone has a special move up their sleeve but you can only use it once every school term so use it wisely.
Detectives: If you use your move as a detective then the murderer will be revealed to you.
Murderer: If you use your move as a murderer you will be able to fake your own death.
Common person: If you use your move while you are neither the detective nor the murderer, you will be immune from death.
How to use your move: PM the person in charge of the current round (99% of the time it will be myself, Euca).
Who has used their moves will remain confidential as to prevent giving anyone an unfair advantage of observation.
I will award five galleons and five house points to the detective if he/she gets the right person. I will award five galleons and five house points to the murderer if the detective doesn't get it.
Rules about the hints:
You may not say the person's whole name.
You may not bold, italize, underline, glow, or emphasize with captilization, extra spaces, ...'s, astrixes, or any other form pointing to a clue. The detective must be intuitive, and pick up on all of this on his own.
How you leave your clues is your decision, but you cannot say the person's whole username, nor a portion which is extremely obvious. For instance, if Gonnabefamous had murdered you, you could possibly leave some sort of clue like, "My murderer's motive was to be famous for the crime..." or something like that. However, you should stay away from something so obvious as, "My murderer is gonna be famous for what she did." That's just ridiculous, you know?
You may also post any questions you have about the rules in this thread.
