See? Kubo just decided to put that in. It aint consistent with what's happened so far.

He stayed out of the way on purpose. He can see them, remember? Even when they're in spirit form. He can sense them coming, I bet.
How is it not consistent?! The thing about Kaien was so long ago! It was within the first 70 episodes. THAT's how far back he started this. He's been dropping hints around. That's pretty good story telling.

I know! The entire thing with Ichigo looking like Kaien started in EPISODE ONE. But it wasn't outright said until the Soul Society arc when they went to save her. Before Rukia went back with Byakuya and Renji, Byakuya said that he "knew why she did it" because Ichigo looked a lot like "him". We don't know who that 'him' is until much later, but it has always been there. Omg... TITE KUBO IS THE JAPANESE VERSION OF MOFFAT

Haha, he's not quite like Moffat, Moffat's the king of trollingtwists. See, Mj? Sadie agrees with me.

What was your gateway anime? Mine is Sailor Moon (original series) and Card Captor Sakura. What about you?

My first anime was technically Sailor Moon but I did not know what anime was. I just loved the art. I only recently got back into anime because of my boyfriend. We watch Durarara together before spring break. Anyone got any recommendations that are of a similar style?

Baccano! is a must see if you've watched Durarara!! because it's written by the same person, set in the same universe (some characters even cross over), and it's set in 1930's New York. You have to watch it in dub, though, because you get all the accents and slang and it's fantastic.

My boyfriend also wants to show me that anime. I think there was a crossover in an episode of Durarara and my boyfriend was trying to point out the characters and he got really excited. I love that time period though. I will not mind if it is dubbed.
There is a webcomic that does a cool interpretation of the 1920's with gangsters and bootlegging called Lackadaisy.

Yeah, two of the main characters from Baccano! show up in that part of Durarara!! where Mikado is basically owning Namie with the Dollars showing up in that giant hoard. Remember the two characters that were dressed really weirdly in that scene? They were Isaac and Miria, the really crazy characters from Baccano! that dress up crazily in every episode. You'll love them.

Yeah, they were so not dressed like anyone else and the girl seemed really excited about the Dollars. I'm going to marathon Baccano! when I get back to school. Any recommendations?
